6-7 pm: Using Moisture meters in Home Inspection: Chris Ranwell, of Protimeter, will be discussing the uses and specifications of moisture meter technology, and its applications in the field of Home Inspection. 

 

Chris Ranwell

Chris Ranwell is the Global Product Manager for the gas and moisture products at Amphenol Advanced Sensors, including Protimeter. Chris has for the last 21 years been directly involved with use of moisture meters and hygrometers for detecting and diagnosing moisture problems in buildings as well as the use of meters for flood damage restoration. Chris serves on several industry technical committees including ASTM F06 for resilient flooring and is WRT/ASD certified.



7-8 pm : Using Infrared Cameras in Home Inspection: Bill Fabian, of Monroe Infrared, will be discussing the uses and specifications of Infrared Camera technology, and its applications in the field of Home Inspection. He will also be discussing the certifications available for Home Inspectors who wish to incorporate this in their inspections. 

 

Monroe Infrared Vice President Bill Fabian has been providing infrared training, infrared cameras, and infrared inspection services to home inspectors and energy and maintenance professionals since 1986. He designs and teaches specialized infrared training courses to diverse audiences across the country. In 2013, Bill developed the Certified Residential Thermography (CRT) certification program specifically for home inspectors. 

 

8-9 pm : Round Table discussion/workshop: Writing about moisture issues in Home Inspection reports. Ed committee members Morgan Cohen and John Gallagher will be leading a workshop on writing about moisture issues in Home Inspection reports. The issues we will be working on are  - how to report on moisture? What constitutes a complete comment regarding the issues at hand? Are we giving the client the correct direction on what to do next?

 

This workshop follows on the heels of our December meeting workshop on comment writing.
